CORONAVIRUS REPLICATION (COVID-19): Cell Entry into Human Cell Using ACE2 Receptors

Russell Kightley has been creating viral graphics and animations since the 1980s. This latest one shows a coronavirus particle attaching to ACE2 receptors on the surface of a human cell and being engulfed by endocytosis. Once inside the cell, the viral and cell membranes fuse and the RNA (yellow string) is released, where it directs the production of new virus particles. This video can be supplied at UHD to broadcasters.
